Welcome back to my weekly post where I showcase some of the cooler Hot wheels and matchbox cars in my collection. All are for sale or trade (trade for wagons or volvos really) (except for the Ion. I like it too much.)
Today we start with a Humvee and a Land Rover Infinity.
A Saturn Ion and a Nissan 300zx
Two classic Mini Coopers with interchangeable bodies
A Ford F-150 and a Jeep Grand Cherokee
And lastly, a Lancia Stratos and a Ford GT-40

You should be asking quite a bit in trade for this. These dealer promo IONs are selling for a lot of money on eBay.
There's 2 in package ones for sale now, one for $20 or best offer, one for $86.22
I can imagine one out of package could sell for at least $5-6, maybe a little more.

I had no idea they did minis like that, pretty awesome!

What you wants?

Courtesy MonkeyPuzzle in the Secret Senna gift exchange, I have a very similar Ninety in a closely-approximated Pelham Blue. No rad "MEXICO" graphics, obviously.

Yea, I'd only trade my cars for Volvo models really, otherwise I'd be asking 5 bucks each. Maybe I'll hold onto that Ion though, I do like the actual car quite a bit.

Sounds like a plan!

Wagons (not the Chevelle wagon though, one of those is in the mail courtesy another Opponaut), Volvos or 5 bucks really .

I wish mine didn't have the Mexico stuff on it but it was part of the 50 states collection, which I have most of.

They also made a Hyperliner, a sort of drag race van, that had a removable body.

How on Earth did you find this? A Saturn Ion (and with half door!)?? Is this a Hot Wheels model? What year was it manufactured?

Dunno, I've had it for years. Manufactured in 02. Apparently super rare which is why I plan to hold onto it for some time. I really liked the last bunch of cars they produced, including the Ion (and Redline performance model). Most likely saw it in the shops one day and happened to have the 88 cents these cost when I was a kid.

Nice. I mean I know they make Hot Wheels of economy cars, but a Saturn Ion is just so...unexpected.

Yea, apparently it was a dealer promotional car when the Ion was first coming out.

Unless you have one of those Subaru hot wheels?

I have both.

Both wagon and sedan? :o
![]() 02/21/2014 at 17:42 |

Yes.

Anything else you want? I'd love to have both.
